GRIEVING THE LOSS OF YOUR BELOVED

GRIEF COMPANION
You are reading this page as you either already know Terrie and have worked with her before or you have been referred by someone who knows and her work and they have suggested to make contact.

Grieving the loss of your beloved life partner, family member, life dream, best friend, cherished dog has a few similar steps one progresses through.

And we do get through - although at times this may seem questionable as we are heartbroken by the loss.

We bounce back to life in different timings of these steps, yet some can be similar between those who deeply Loved, lost a dream and (naturally) found it hard to say goodbye. Not a measure, just an observation.

GOODBYE MY BELOVED PARTNER, LIFE DREAM

With so much for people to deal with right now, Terrie feels drawn to be there for others who may just need a friendly voice, an encouraging understanding and an ear to share during the first two weeks after a person needs to say goodbye to their beloved dog due to old age.

There is no charge, this is from her heart to those who have truly loved their beloved dog and found it hard to say goodbye after many years together.

To say this is an easy time would be to underestimate the transition that needs to take place to move on to the new life after saying goodbye.

A beloved dog is usually at your side every moment of the day, looking up at you to share your joys and nudging you in your lows. There to smile you awake in the mornings and there to race you to bed in the evenings.  There to come running at you from nowhere to tell you something and first to sit in front of you with a smiling pant of thankyou when they are so, so happy after a play. There to lean on you with their warmth as you relax at the end of the day together.

This is a huge hole in your day and life when they have passed.
Not to be underestimated at all.

"My life has been full and taken turns and detours I never saw coming. Yet all gave me the richness and alignment to something I find naturally drawn to and rewarding - to see people flourish. Grief has touched me in many different ways and in recent months I can see that people need a companion to hold them steady whilst they find their new equilibrium.

Epecially during the key time that matters - the first two weeks after the change. And then sometimes about 3mths after when everyone has gone back to their lives and you are still travelling through some times that could do with an understanding guidance and confirmation that all is and will be fine - although different."
